A snapshot is a point-in-time backup of an instance’s volume, allowing you to restore or create new instances or volumes from saved states in the same regions. Zeupiter snapshots help safeguard your data and enable easy recovery or duplication of environments with just One-click. No need to manually create volumes out of snapshots and reattach to instances, we do that for you.
Zeupiter also allows automated snapshot creation via Jupiter AI. Snapshots are billed per GB, with no compute costs. Deleting snapshots frees storage and stops billing.
To create a new storage snapshot, navigate to the cloud provider’s portal where you want to create snapshot. Hit the "Snapshots" tab. You'll see "Create Snapshot" button at the top-right corner, which will bring up a form where you can create a snapshot.
Name: a name to help you identify created snapshot Select Instance or Volume: the selected instance (including all volumes) or a single volume
We've made snapshot management simple and efficient—with one-click options to create, restore, and delete snapshots, along with automated AI-based snapshot triggers.
Navigate to the respective cloud provider’s portal and go to the Snapshots section. Here, you can view all existing snapshots, whether for individual volumes or entire instances.
Before restoring, ensure the snapshot status is "Created" not pending and the progress is at 100%. To restore a snapshot:
Select the desired snapshot.
Click the three-dot menu and choose "Restore".
Any existing volumes attached to the instance are detached beforehand, and the snapshot will restore the full previous state.
Select the snapshot you wish to delete, click on the three-dot menu, and choose "Delete." Confirm the deletion when prompted. The snapshot will be removed, and billing for it will stop immediately.
